DIN 17155

DIN 17155 is the outdated German specification for pressure vessel steels and boiler quality plate. This specification (along with the BS standard) have now been superseded by EN 10028.

We find that our customers still refer to this old standard from time to time which is why we have included information of grades to the DIN 17155 specification on this website.

Please note though, that the information should now be used for cross reference purposes only.

DIN 17155 HI

DIN standard HI pressure vessel steel has now been superseded with the Euro Norm specification EN 10028. We find however that our clients still search and make enquiries for this steel which is why we have provided grade specification details on this website.

Please refer to the technical information below.

Please note that this information should be used for cross reference purposes and you should refer to equivalent grades when making your enquiry for pressure vessel grade steel.

DIN 17155 HII

DIN 17155 HII is the German standard for pressure vessel steel. This standard is no longer active and has been superseded along with the old British Standard by EN 10028, the new Euro Norm standard. Our customers often search and make sales enquiries for this steel grade and as a consequence we have provided grade specification details on this website.

Please refer to the technical data below. Note that this information should be used for cross reference purposes – please refer to equivalent grades when making your enquiry for our pressure vessel grade steels.

DIN 17155 17Mn4

DIN 17MN4 has now been superseded by the euro norm specification EN10028.

We have included details of 17MN4 on this website for cross reference purposes but should you wish to purchase pressure vessel steel to this specification, please consider the following alternatives…

  • ASTM A516 Grade 65
  • ASME SA516 Grade 65
  • P295GH
